Isobel was a source of warmth, kindness and support to me and to so many colleagues in the School of Education, University of Leeds. She was much loved by colleagues and students alike. She always asked the right questions. She was interested in the lives of others and genuinely cared and this continued long after she had left the School. The world is a poorer place for her passing.
